AIDAF Chair – EY

In 2003 AIDAF, supported by a group of associated companies, promoted the establishment at the Bocconi University of Milan of the AIDAF-EY Chair of Family Business Strategy in memory of Alberto Falck, creating a specific high-level training center level and quality.

The AlDAF–EY Chair organizes, as part of the Strategy of Family Businesses course, open meetings during which representatives of entrepreneurial families and professionals discuss and explore cases and topics of particular relevance, thanks to the testimonies of entrepreneurs and other protagonists of the processes development of family businesses. The mission of the Chair is the development of research, teaching and participation in institutional activities related to the family business.
The Chair, a member of IFERA (International Family Enterprise Research Academy) and of FBN (Family Business Network), collaborated in the establishment of ITFERA (Italian Family Enterprise Research Academy). The chair holder is Guido Corbetta, full professor of Business Strategy at Bocconi University.

AUB Observatory

In 2009, the first AUB Observatory (AIDAF, UniCredit, Bocconi) was established, promoted by AIDAF, UniCredit, the AIDAF – EY Chair of Family Business Strategy in memory of Alberto Falck of Bocconi University, by Cordusio and the Angelini Foundation, with the collaboration of Borsa Italiana and the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi. The AUB Observatory has detailed and up-to-date information on the ownership, governance, management and economic and financial performance of all Italian family-owned companies with a turnover of €20 million or more.

It is the first initiative in Italy aimed at researchers, entrepreneurs, managers and institutions to understand the unique characteristics and needs of this specific type of company.
